This policy explains what information 16554016 Canada Inc. collects through this website, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal filler.
Who is responsible
The data controller is 16554016 Canada Inc., registration number 1655401-6, registered at 1526 Falconcrest Dr, Pickering, Ontario, L1V 4Z1, Canada. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
We only collect what the website actually needs to work and to answer you.
- Information you send us. When you submit the contact form we receive your first and last name, your email address, an optional company or team name, the topic you selected and the message you wrote.
- Technical information. When a form is submitted we record the time of submission, the page it was sent from and the IP address of the request. This is used to identify abuse and spam, nothing else.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, request times and browser identification strings.
We do not ask for a telephone number anywhere on this site, we do not collect payment information through the website, and we do not request or store any special category data.
Why we use it
- To read your enquiry and reply to it, which is the reason the form exists.
- To prepare a training proposal or an individual quote when you have asked for one.
- To keep a record of correspondence relating to a training engagement.
- To protect the site against automated abuse and spam submissions.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and where a training engagement follows, the performance of a contract with you.
Marketing
We do not add contact form submissions to a marketing list. If you write to us about one program, you will not start receiving unrelated announcements as a result. Any future marketing communication would require your separate, explicit consent.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered to our corporate mailbox using a third-party email delivery provider, which processes the message solely in order to transmit it. Our hosting provider stores the site and its server logs. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid request from a competent authority.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Correspondence relating to an actual training engagement is kept for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax law.
- Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention period.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to provide it in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and form submissions are transmitted over an authenticated, encrypted mail channel. Access to the mailbox is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send confidential account credentials or sensitive commercial detail through the contact form.
Children
This website and the training we provide are intended for professional adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use existing data will be communicated directly to anyone concerned.
